What Are ENDPLATES and What Do They Do?

Answer:

Endplates provide stability, rigidity, and a place to attach the legs to a pedal steel guitar. They can be made in several different ways:

1. Cast aluminum (sand casting or investment casting);
2. Machined aluminum (CNC milled);
3. Extruded aluminum; and
4. Stamped steel.
