March 1, 1999 World Class Steels, Inc. Bud, John, and Ann: I am enjoying my new Rosewood Carter (8P & 9KL) very much! I love the playability, especially love the tone. Thank you, Bud and John, for your expertise and workmanship. My Carter is a beauty, plays great, stays in tune, and fits like a glove. I realize my KL placement may have been a challenge, but your expertise made them work great! The first time I played the Carter was at a recording session. The guitar player, also a steeler asked, "What kind of guitar is that?! What effects are you using to get that great tone and sound?" I said "Only my Carter and a Profex II for a little delay & reverb, going straight to the board, nothing more." Even the engineer commented on the great tone the Carter produced. I am pleased that it has the bottom I like, the highs cut and the mids sound great. It has the clarity of my old '66 Push-Pull Emmons. A fellow musician recently heard me playing my Carter and said, "I thought you were playing the '66 Emmons." There are many great pedal steel guitars on the market today. I have had the opportunity to sit behind nearly all makes and models and in my opinion, the Carter more than holds its own with the best of them. My Carter is as comfortable as any guitar I have ever played. As soon as you sit behind one, you become aware of the enormous amount of time, thought, and, most especially, invaluable experience that have gone into the research and development of the Carter. You have gone far above and beyond the extra mile with your after-the-sale customer service. I also appreciate the care, concern, and extra detail that each of you, Bud, John, and Ann, put into my order to ensure it was just as I ordered. And, thank you for a great looking and sounding guitar. I look forward to many hours of pleasure with this instrument.
