November 1, 2001 Hi Ann, Bud & John, It has been almost 2 months now since I received my new D-10 Carter with BCT. I am having a ball with the guitar! The best guitar I ever played before was a Fender 400 and 500, so you can see this was a big step forward. This is the first time I ever used a knee lever and I am enjoying it very much! I am not a beginner but I just started playing again after a break of 30 years. I started again in March this year. My first guitar was a 6-string lap steel and that was in the late 1950's. Soon after I got a D-8 Gibson with no pedals. Around 1964 I traded for a Fender 500 and that was my first experience with pedals. I was in the Navy all this time and had a small band down in Pensacola, Florida, where we played mostly in the base clubs. In 1967, I moved to Norfolk, VA and just gave up playing and sold the guitar. The past few years I have been wanting to play again and in March I came across an old Fender 400. It all started to come back. And with the internet I started looking for a super pedal steel guitar that had everything I would need. That is where I found Carter Steel Guitars.
