March 8, 1999 Howdy folks! I'm a Texan picker. Not a great picker...not a bad picker, just a working steel player who depends on his Carter. I play in a pretty fair Texan band. When the lights go up, and the drummer kicks it in, my Carter is right there for every cowboy and cowgirl to two-step to. My Carter steel has that "tone to the bone" built right in. The action is short, sweet, and right there.....every time. My D10 is finished in a gorgeous Red Birdseye mica, which is set off perfectly by the highly- polished aluminum parts. It is easy set up and tear down, which makes this lightweight guitar a joy to use on the job. The customer service before, during, and after my purchase were second to none. My hat is off to John, Bud, and Ann. I feel like I'm part of the "Carter Family" -- a good feeling. I am honored to play the Carter. Do you really want to know how good my Carter is? .. .. ..
