July 18, 1996 Hi Y'all - I am in love with my Carter! The more I play it, the more I love it. This is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Thanks a bunch for giving me the opportunity to own such a great steel guitar. The more I listen to and play my Carter Steel, the more it sounds like my Emmons original. I played that Emmons for 23 years but only because of the tone... With my new Carter, I am not sacrificing that tone. Now I have the best of both worlds... That killer tone I want, and precision mechanics with no pedal/knee combination limitations. THANKS BUD!!! The way the pedal stops click when I am really hammering on it, the way it stays in tune and doesn't break strings, and the way the tone cuts like a hot knife when I want it to, or flows like hot molasses when I want that.
