December 10, 1998 Dear Bud, John, and Ann, I have never played a steel that I felt at home on the very first time I set down at it -- until now. I first played this Carter with BCTat the Saluda, South Carolina Steel Guitar Convention on Sunday, November 8, 1998. When I was done with my set, as I walked off the stage, I said to Bill Ferguson, "this guitar is going home with me!" IT DID. I love it! Just wanted to let you know you have another satisfied customer. I've been playing pedal steel guitar since 1969, all over the USA (mostly clubs, some TV, and lots of radio). Now, I just play in Churches and the Saluda Convention. I have been wondering about the Carter for quite awhile. All I can say is: "I've played all the rest -- Now I play the best!".
