November 23 2000 Hi Ann: As you know, I am the pedal steel guitar player (in addition to lap, dobro, and guitar) for "Blueground Undergrass". When I got my '97 Carter, I retired my trusty Mullen to the woodshed. I cannot say enough about this fine guitar. I just wish I had gotten a Carter sooner. Even our soundman has mentioned repeatedly how much better the Carter sounds. And he never likes anything. I love it! I'm thrilled with the light weight, mechanical stability, tuning stability and response. I have to say that everybody from the road crew to the long time band fans have commented on how MUCH better this guitar sounds! This guitar works fine. I am playing the Carter exclusively for road and session work right now, and plan to continue to do so. The Carter is really good looking, reliable, mechanically excellent, great sounding, stable (going from the frozen bus bays to being in tune at soundcheck in minutes) and lightweight.
