May 16, 1999 Dear Ann, John, and Bud: The Carter is awesome! I love the pedal action, tone, and down right good looks. I also like the 6th knee lever change John suggested, makes going from the V chord to the 1 chord -- really pretty. I love the Guitar. It sounds great playing real clean or very dirty ala Duane Allman, David Lindley or Sonny Landreth electric slide guitar. It chimes harmonics as well as any guitar I have played and just has killer tone when playing single string jazz runs, hot country licks or big fat 6th swing chords. We play a fair amount of rock-a-billy over which I use swing stuff and single note boogie woogie runs, rock where I do slide guitar stuff, and straight up country where I use the licks we all know and love.
