April 27, 1998 Dear Bud, John, and Ann: In 1995, my husband Clarence Wilson bought me my very first steel, a Carter D-10, which he actually loved playing, too. I learned to play steel on that Carter. After playing "our" or "his" Carter D-10 for 2 years, in self-defense, he bought me my very own S-10 in 1997. My second Carter is as wonderful as "our" first. I especially like its light weight. Like Clarence's Carter, mine is very well-built and has very little string breakage. I also enjoy its quick pedal & knee lever action and the tone and sustain are fabulous. I really enjoy playing it.
