March 14, 2002 Dear John, Bud, and Ann: My Carter steel, model S-10/DB is a Blue Birdsye mica with BCT. It plays and sounds wonderful! From the first time I opened the box, it was in tune. It stays in tune for a long time. I rarely have to tune it. After playing both an Emmons and a German brand psg, neither of which stayed in tune very long for me, it is wonderful not to have to tune the Carter very much and to spend MUCH more time on TOP of the guitar than underneath! I made the right decision in purchasing a Carter. I enjoy meeting other pedal steel players. I live in Southwest Germany (close to France and Switzerland).
