April 2, 2000 Dear Bud, John, and Ann: I have owned and played many different brands of pedal steel guitars since 1962. The one I have now (my Carter with BCT) is my favorite one of all the 9 brands I have owned and others I have tried. The pedals are easy to push down and the knee levers have just the right feel. The half-stop on the 2nd and 9th strings are very accurate. I have had many compliments about the ease of playing and pedal actuation. I also like the light weight of the Carter. Sometimes the light weight case seems heavy to me. Of course, when you get to the 77-year-old mark like me, everything seems a lot heavier ;-) ... I am very pleased with the Carter and have been telling and showing others the features of the Carter Steel Guitar since I bought it in April of 1999. When a better guitar is built, you will build it. Yours for better pickin' Archie Allen
