November 20, 1996 To John and Bud: I still love my Black Carter 12-string. It plays great. I have been playing in a club here in Georgia ever since you built it for me and it sounds great. I have been playing steel guitar for over 20 years, and owned many brands of steels, but I have never found one I like as much as my Carter. It's lightweight and durable.
