August 5, 1999 Dear John: My Carter S-12 on D-10 Body with Pad has an E9/B6 tuning, as you know. It is a wonderful guitar. The pedals work easily. The knee levers stay in tune and I only have to tune the open strings occasionally. The E66 pickup gives me the highs and lows I need and sounds a lot like the old 60's Emmons. This guitar fits me perfectly. I really look forward to playing this great guitar, no worries about the pedals and knee levers coming back in tune. Just: play, play, play . . .
