January 10, 2001 Dear Bud, John and Ann: You outdid yourselves on this one, my friends. A MILLION thanks! I just LOVE it!!!!!! On December 22, 2000, I picked up my new Carter D-10 with Body-Contact Technology (BCT). Having played quite a few Carter Steel Guitars before, I knew that my new Carter would be everything I expected, even before I heard it. Was I ever surprised!!!!! I found playing the Carter in the Showroom (using Peavey amps which I normally don't use) to be truly astonishing. Then, when I got home and had the chance to "road-test" it on the job through my own amp, several band members approached me, including the sound tech, and said: "That is the best sounding guitar you have ever brought to this show. What is it?" I asked them, "Why?" And, they replied: "The tone, bottom, mid's, high's, it's awesome, the separation in your notes, it's just there. What a killer sound you are getting!" Needless to say, my new Carter FAR exceeded my expectations. The tone - bottom, mid's, high's are even more incredible than I had ever imagined, very awesome. Also, my Carter looks great, feels and plays great. And, for me, the Carter is the most comfortable guitar I have ever sat behind. It fits me like a glove! The Carter is everything I have come to expect from a quality-built instrument! My Carter is without a doubt the best I have personally ever owned, heard or played. And, I thought the others were great sounding, also. Tone: Incredible! Sustain: Unbelievable! Carter Steel Guitars produce "that tone" that everyone is searching for, but it does not stop there. Not only does my Carter sound great, but also it plays in tune, STAYS in tune, and above all has that much sought-after "GROWL"! I might note that chiming is much easier on a Carter than any other guitar I've played, including many "name brand" guitars.
