March 31 2004 Dear John, First let me say that getting my Carter D-10 with BCT (Body-ContactTM Technology) was one of the best, if not the best, decisions I've made on musical gear. The appearance of the Carter is eye-catching to everyone who has seen it. I got it out of the case and was thrilled with the way it turned out. I have found that it stays in tune better than any other guitar I own and does not break strings nearly as often. The tone is just what I was looking for and the changer is the best I've ever seen! At last, I have a guitar with my whole pedal setup on it. Even the long pulls return true. I've had it now for 9 or so months and have yet to have to do anything underneath it (except for routine lubrication). That's never happened before. If I had it to do again, I'd get another Carter without hesitation. Paul Franklin told me that Paul Franklin Sr recommends the Carter and that's a real compliment ... a deserved one, at that! I am willing to show others my guitar and do so often. People play it a lot at The Grand Ole Opry when I'm there. The bottom line is that I could not be happier with the guitar. I love my old Sho-Bud and I have a push-pull Emmons, but they've not been out of the case since I got my Carter. Corky Owens and Tommy White steered me to the Carters and I'm so glad they did.
