July 7, 2001 Dear John, Bud, and Ann: Received my Carter Steel Guitar with Body-Contact Technology (BCT) in good order! no damage! great shape! I am very pleased with the design and color. The sound is just great! I am getting lots of compliments on my sound already. The people and fellow musicians I have shown this to have all gasped with awe and delight at the beauty and sound. If I may say so, I have been told I have a good ear and touch on the steel. I am not extremely fast but accurate and pretty. (A little self promo there.) I watched the video with enthusiasm and could not wait to get started -- pickin and grinnin. I have played in the past in my youth from 20's to my 50's at which time I hung it up -- I thought for good. But, a fellow friend and musician begged me to come out of retirement and join his group called "Yesterdays Playboys" here in Wichita and get off my duff and entertain Senior Citizens Centers and a few lodges.
