July 21, 2000 Dear Bud, John and Ann: I have now had my new Carter D-10 with Body-ContactTM Technology since January 14, 2000 (about 6 months now). I thought I would let you all know a little about it as I've been giving it a workout and I'm totally pleased with it. It plays and sounds like a dream come true and is very stable. It is covered with Rose Prince gloss mica and has standard George L pickups on both necks, 9 pedals and 5 knee levers. It is the closest thing I have found in 25 years of playing to the push/pull Emmons tone. I really dig my new CARTER and am so excited with it! Thank you folks at Carter for making a pedal steel that stays in tune and gives me the sound I have been looking for.
