March 28, 2002 Hello Ann, John and Bud, I am very pleased with my new Navy mica Carter D-10 with BCT. The Carter is built just right, is lightweight, and simple/easy to adjust when needed (rarely so far!) I am a beginner. From my research and from what a number of psg players have told me, I have aided my learning a lot by purchasing the Carter with its reliable mechanism -- allows me to focus on learning and not adjusting or repairing. Very nice! Many psg players already have told me the sound of my Carter is very close to that of the push/pull Emmons, which many consider as a hallmark sound. The seasoned psg players who have tried my Carter also remark on the feel -- very nice and smooth. I recomend any new players -- and those with lots of psg playing experience too -- consider the Carter. I am confident that by purchasing your Carter Steel Guitar, you will be saving yourself many tuning and mechanical nightmares, especially when you could be concentrating on developing yourself as a psg player. The Carter stays in tune. I think that any instrument that does not stay in tune -- especially an instrument as challenging as a psg -- would be extremely discouraging and frustrating.
