October 7, 2001 Hi Bud, John, and Ann: Warm and steely greetings from Finland. Many thanks for your excellent work as World Class Steel Guitar Builder. (Here is a photo of me with my newest Carter, taken by my daughter, Carita, in our training room.) When I first received my new Carter with Body-Contact Technology (BCT) in May 2001, after following your instructions, I started the assembly, tuning and PLAYING. After 1½ hours of testing and playing I already could tell the sound is a lot smoother, deeper and the sustain properties better than my first Carter with no BCT. Also the touch is more delicate and the half-stop works and feels more accurate. Not to blame my old Carter steel, it is quite OK. Also, two of my friends who have been here to test my older Carter liked it. So, now I am waiting for them to come and see and test this new Carter with BCT! The longer I play my new Carter, the more I enjoy playing. I can now use the thinner bar to play faster, and yet, the touch and sustain both are great! The improvements you have made since I purchased in 1997 are quite obvious and very enjoyable. Our band members have also noticed the better sound quality (and sometimes are challenged to keep me from playing too much by myself ... you know, you just get hooked on new sounds and possibilities!)
