January 10, 2001 Hi Ann, Bud, and John: As you know, my brother, Phil, in the states, purchased my S-10/DB (S-10 on D-10 body with pad) Carter with BCT technology from you during December as a surprise gift to me. He also purchased your Accessories Pack so I had everything I needed to start playing. Let me back up, this was a SURPRISE gift to me on Christmas Day. First Phil gave me the Accessories Pack and I was THRILLED! As he tells it, I was very content knowing I had all I needed to start (minus the steel, which I was planning to purchase soon, of course), and I was ... this was the perfect gift for me. Well, I did not even begin to suspect that the perfect gift had only just started. Quite awhile later, out comes the Carter itself. I was not expecting it at all! I really love the Carter and as a guitar player I seem to be getting the hang of it quite quickly. The "SmartStart" video helps alot. Thanks Jeff Newman!
