(UNDERCARRIAGE View)Question:
What Are HELPER SPRINGS and How Do They Work?
Answer:
Some steel guitars may use helper springs on the raise fingers of their changers.
These springs assist the changer in raising a string and may reduce the amount of pressure necessary to activate the raise.
Not all pedal steel guitar changer designs require or use helper springs.
