Here's some of what you missed by not being there:
"After John Hughey was kind enough to open my show for me ;), I got through the first song and the 3rd string let go. That will teach me to grab a Carter that has 40 hours of playing on the strings! Fortunately, I had lots of strings in my seat. Unfortunately, all the cutters and winders were in another seat in our demo room outside. So, the show went on as is. And, 9 out of 10 is not too bad ;)
Luckily, Rob Parker was available to sing the next few
numbers which I played with no 3rd string. Had lots of fun ;(
doing 'Way to Survive' with Rob in the key of Bb. Oh well, next
time I'll do what I always recommend our customers do: change
my 3rd string before I go on."
